Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, with Jarocha ancestry, Mariangela has lived in Texas since she was 10. Surrounded by Monterrey's alternative scene, she also grew up immersed in the musical richness of Veracruz, her father's homeland, and the diverse sounds of Anglo-Saxon music from her Texan home. This diverse musical landscape allowed her to explore various genres, from the iconic Soda Stereo to the legendary Vicente Fernández. She appreciates artists as diverse as Agustín Lara and Carla Morrison, Stevie Nicks and Nelly Furtado, Pearl Jam, Madonna, Pink Floyd, and countless other bands and artists who create unique and refreshing sounds.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Mariangela has been passionate about poetry since she was 11. She strives to compose visually and emotionally. A self-taught instrumentalist, she plays guitar and piano, tools that aid her creative process. By creating the "mariangelaverse," she aims to foster deeper connections with her fans through their shared love of music.
